• Digital Citizenship, Internet Safety, and Media Literacy Advisory Council

  The council shall provide recommendations to the State Board of Education regarding (1) best practices relating to instruction in digital citizenship, Internet safety and media literacy, and (2) methods of instructing students to safely, ethically, responsibly and effectively use media and technology resources.

• Remote Learning Commission

  Public Act 21-2, SB 1202, Sec. 387 requires the establishment of the Connecticut Remote Learning Commission by the Department of Education. The law requires the commission to analyze and provide recommendations concerning the provision of remote learning to public school students enrolled in grades kindergarten to twelve, inclusive

  The Connecticut Core Standards, adopted by the State Board of Education in 2010, provide teachers, students, and families with clear expectations of what a student should know and be able to do at each grade level.

• Reading Leadership Implementation Council

  The Reading Leadership Implementation Council shall develop and publish annual goals for the Center for Literacy Research and Reading Success.
