What is an initial judicial appointment?
An initial judicial appointment is for lawyers who want to become a Connecticut judge. The Judicial Selection Commission (JSC) reviews applications, interviews applicants, and recommends qualified candidates to the Governor for nomination.
To apply, you must have a law degree, be a resident of and a registered voter in the State of Connecticut, and be under the age of 70.
