When you file cases with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), your case may be referred to CHRO for processing. Cases filed with CHRO will also be “dual-filed” with HUD and EEOC, if applicable.
Regardless of whether you first file your complaint with one of the federal agencies or with CHRO, you should check your mail and email for notices from CHRO, HUD, or EEOC, as they will contain important information about your rights in the complaint process.
