Gov. Malloy Reminds Connecticut Residents the Deadline to Apply for Home Heating Assistance is May 1
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today is reminding Connecticut residents who need help paying their home heating bills for the 2016-2017 winter season that there is still time to apply for assistance under the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program. The general deadline for applications is May 1, 2017, however eligible households that are subject to a shut-off notice by a utility for heating bills have an extended deadline of May 15.

TUESDAY: LT. GOV. WYMAN TOURS VERNON MILLS, SPEAKS AT WALLINGFORD WALL OF HONOR CEREMONY
On Tuesday morning, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will tour the Hockanum Mill development. With state and federal investment and a partnership with the Town of Vernon, the project will remediate a brownfield and restore 10 existing structures to create 150,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space in Vernon.

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy and State Department of Education (SDE) Commissioner Dianna R. Wentzell today announced the release of a new state guide that provides a framework for local and regional school districts to develop a strategic plan and implement interventions that will lead to the reduction of chronic absenteeism among students in pre-K through Grade 12.
