LT. GOV. WYMAN & ADVOCATES HOLD ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON PROPOSAL TO PROTECT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS
Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman today hosted a roundtable discussion on House Bill 5054, An Act Protecting Victims of Domestic Violence, Governor Dannel P. Malloy's legislative proposal to protect domestic violence victims by prohibiting anyone subject to a temporary restraining order from possessing firearms. The conversation, held at the YWCA Hartford Region, included advocates, law enforcement, and members of the public.

Gov. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Wyman to Launch Statewide Series of Town Hall Forums
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman today announced that in the coming weeks they will launch another series of town hall forums to discuss a wide variety of the state's issues face-to-face with residents, with a particular focus on the budget.

On Wednesday morning, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will join state and local officials at a ceremony to open the Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School after the expansion and renovation project that was due to complete in May 2015 finished seven months ahead of schedule.

Gov. Malloy Signs Legislation Protecting Survivors of Domestic Violence, Closing Critical Public Safety Loophole
Governor Dannel P. Malloy has signed into law a legislative proposal he introduced earlier this year that is designed to protect the victims of domestic violence by prohibiting the possession of firearms for anyone who becomes subject to a temporary restraining order.
