Lt. Governor Visits Storm Damaged Areas
Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman on Wednesday, August 31st, will visit storm-damaged areas in Guilford, Bristol, Southbury and New Milford, where she will speak to residents and confer with local officials about their recovery operations and how the state can assist.

GOV. MALLOY CREATES SANDY HOOK ADVISORY COMMISSION TO ADDRESS KEY POLICY AREAS IN VIOLENCE PREVENTION

Malloy today announced the formation of the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission, an expert panel that will review current policy and make specific recommendations in the areas of public safety, with particular attention paid to school safety, mental health, and gun violence prevention.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Connecticut Department of Labor, led by Commissioner Sharon Palmer, and the Department of Economic and Community Development, led by Commissioner Catherine Smith, will study the factors that contribute to the gender wage gap in Connecticut’s workforce and make recommendations for actions that will eliminate that inequity.
