Student Loan Reimbursement Program

The application portal for the Student Loan Reimbursement (SLR) program went live on January 1, 2025 (12:00 a.m.). Public interest has been steady since the General Assembly approved the development of the program in May of 2024, and OHE has responded to hundreds of emails from potential applicants with questions regarding eligibility requirements and navigating the electronic application portal.

Due to the high volume of information requests, we will respond only to email correspondence. Interested applicants are advised to email their questions to ohe.slrp@ct.gov. Also, frequently asked questions and answers can be found through SLRPFAQ.

Office of the Student Loan Ombudsperson

The Connecticut Office of the Student Loan Ombudsperson analyzes and monitors laws and policies that impact student loan borrowers at the federal, state, and local level. The Ombudsperson works directly with borrowers to address complaints against student loan services; to help them navigate issues; and to identify resources.
