  Dinosaur State Park and the Friends of Dinosaur Park and Arboretum (FDPA) are once again sponsoring their annual family-friendly festival on Saturday, August 19, celebrating the anniversary of the discovery of 2,000 early Jurassic dinosaur footprints in Rocky Hill.

• 3/26/2018 DEEP and Closed Loop Fund Announce Historic Partnership on Funding for Recycling Infrastructure

  The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and Closed Loop Fund today unveiled an historic statewide, public-private partnership targeting a $5 million investment in recycling infrastructure in Connecticut in 2018. This statewide program follows Closed Loop Fund’s successful investment in Waterbury, CT in 2017.

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is forecasting the multi-day ozone event of June 10-12 will continue through June 13 and air quality along Connecticut’s coastline will reach as high as Unhealthy for all segments of the population on Tuesday.

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) today released the final Resource Assessment, Appraisal, and Determination of Millstone Report regarding the current and projected future viability of the Millstone nuclear generating facilities, the role of such facilities as well as others in meeting Connecticut’s carbon and other emission targets, and mechanisms to achieve those targets.

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the launch of the state’s Passport to Parks program, a new system that supports services at the state parks system while allowing Connecticut residents who have valid state license plates to access all state parks for free, effective immediately.
