On Sunday, October 21, 2018 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police Officers responded to Candlewood Lake in Brookfield for a report of a capsized motorboat with two adult males aboard the vessel.

(HARTFORD) — The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s ParkConneCT program is pleased to offer free bus transportation for two No Child Left Inside events: Dino Day at Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill on Saturday, August 3, 2024, and Saltwater Fishing Day at Fort Trumbull State Park in New London on Saturday, August 10, 2024. (HARTFORD)—Due to recent Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (CAES) reports of eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) in mosquitoes in Canterbury and Voluntown, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) advise taking extra precautions to protect against mosquitoes when recreating outdoors.

(HARTFORD)—Today the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) are reminding the public that DEEP is accepting comments on the proposed Release Based Cleanup Regulations through October 24, 2024. These modernized regulations will remove barriers to cleaning pollution and return more polluted sites to productive use. This new, improved, process will replace the outdated Transfer Act with a practical system that relies on market-driven investigations to discover and clean up pollution.
