Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) will unveil the winning cover shot in the 2017 Angler’s Guide Photo contest at a 1:00 p.m. ceremony during DEEP’s Winter Festival on Saturday, February 4 at Burr Pond State Park, 384 Burr Mountain Road, Torrington.

Governors Report 14 States and Puerto Rico are ‘On Track’ to Hit Paris Climate Targets
Citing recent extreme weather event as further evidence of the urgent need for climate solutions, the U.S. Climate Alliance (USCA)--an effort among 14 states and Puerto Rico to reduce greenhouse gas emissions--released a report showing that member states are collectively on track to meet and possibly exceed their portion of the U.S. commitment under the Paris Agreement.
