Mottes Company and the Becker Construction Company have voluntarily agreed to stop selling material or product containing aggregate from Becker's Quarry in Willington for use in residential concrete foundations in Connecticut until June 2017. • Conn. Reaches State-Federal Settlement with Hartford Dispensary to Resolve False Claims Act Allegations

  The Hartford Dispensary will pay $627,000 through a federal-state settlement to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by falsely certifying to federal and state officials that it had a current medical director that was performing his duties in accordance with federal and state law, Attorney General George Jepsen and state Department of Social Services (DSS) Commissioner Roderick L. Bremby said today.

• Connecticut Leads $3.5M Multistate Settlement with Lenovo over Installation of Hacker-vulnerable Software on Laptop Computers

  Connecticut has joined with 31 other states in a settlement with technology company Lenovo (United States) Inc. to resolve allegations that the company violated state consumer protection laws by pre-installing faulty software on laptop computers sold to Connecticut consumers that made consumers' personal information vulnerable to hackers, Attorney General George Jepsen and state Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) Commissioner Michelle H. Seagull said today.

• Conn. Joins Multistate Lawsuit Challenging President Trump on DACA

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Attorney General George Jepsen today announced that Connecticut has joined with a coalition of 14 other states and the District of Columbia in suing President Donald Trump and his administration seeking to invalidate his memorandum that ends the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and to enjoin federal agencies from using information gathered through DACA in immigration enforcement efforts.

Bremby today announced that the state has filed a False Claims Act lawsuit against a Fairfield dentist alleging that he engaged in a long-term, pervasive scheme to defraud the state's Medicaid program.

  Attorney General George Jepsen today joined with attorneys general around the country in a letter to credit reporting firm Equifax requesting that it disable links for enrollment in fee-based credit monitoring service in the wake of the massive data breach impacting 143 million people.
